Slowing Down

Slowing down made so much sense to me this morning during my run. My intention for today’s run was simple—keep my body healthy and complete a slow, steady 5km. I deliberately slowed my pace, focusing on making it as enjoyable as possible. And it felt amazing. My breathing was controlled, I could take in the scenery, and I counted down my planned laps with ease. In that peaceful state, my mind felt clear, allowing new ideas to flow in effortlessly. Slowing down made my brain sing.

This applies to so many aspects of life. Too often, I rush through my to-do list, pushing to check off every task. In the process, I become stressed, constantly on the go, and exhausted even before the day ends.

Now, I intentionally take breaks, making space for things I truly want to do. Prioritizing what matters and slowing down leaves me feeling satisfied, cared for, and at peace.

The same goes for learning—slow down to understand, to apply properly, and to teach others effectively. Slowing down isn’t wasted time; it prevents mistakes that would take even longer to fix.

So today, I remind myself: Slow down.
