Changing Habits

“It can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days to form a new habit, with an average of 66 days for a behavior to become automatic.”

Are you still struggling to change a bad habit? I know I am.

It’s hard because it’s not what I’m used to doing. This year, I set a goal to walk or run first thing in the morning. But honestly, it hasn’t been easy. I love my sleep. I wake up feeling tired. I tell myself I can postpone it to the evening… and when I postpone, I usually end up skipping it.

So I decided to change my strategy.

Instead of forcing myself to “just wake up earlier,” I focused on improving my sleep. I sleep earlier and prioritize quality rest, so waking up doesn’t feel like torture. I’m still working on it every single day.

If you’re struggling too, maybe it’s not about trying harder — maybe it’s about trying smarter. Change the strategy, not the goal.

How about you?
