“If You Don’t Fight for What You Want, Don’t Cry for What You Lose.”

This quote speaks deeply to life.

I truly believe it applies to almost everything—our dreams, relationships, passions, opportunities and even the version of ourselves we want to become.

What we want rarely stays in our lives without effort.
It requires persistence.
It requires consistency.

Because the truth is, nothing is constant. Change is constant.

Sometimes we become too comfortable. We assume there will always be a “next time.” We tell ourselves, “It’s okay… maybe later.” Or worse, we believe something meaningful will always be there without us putting in the effort to protect, nurture or pursue it.

But life doesn’t always work that way.

Recent experiences reminded me of something important:
What matters to you deserves your effort now, not later.

I used to hear people say things like, “It’s okay, next time,” or “It’s okay, she’s not going anywhere.”
But that mindset can be dangerous.

Because sometimes, what we fail to fight for… we lose.

And when that happens, regret can be painful.

So here’s the reminder:
If something truly matters to you—fight for it.
Be persistent.
Be consistent.
Show up.

Because if you are not persistent about what you enjoy, value, or love… you may one day realize it’s gone.

Keep fighting for what matters.
