Opportunity Knocks Only Once.

Opportunity Knocks Only Once — Will You Answer?
“Opportunity knocks only once. You never know if you’ll get another opportunity.” — Leon Spinks
This quote couldn’t be more true. And over the years, it’s a truth I’ve come to deeply believe.
I honestly can’t remember when or who first shared this wisdom with me, but I do remember how it made me feel. It struck a chord. Because the reality is — opportunities don’t always come dressed the way we expect them to. And too often, we brush them off thinking “I’m not ready,” or “It’s nothing.”
And then one day… we find ourselves haunted by regrets.
Grab It with Both Hands — Wisely
I’m not suggesting you should say yes to every opportunity that crosses your path.
Not every opportunity is meant for you.
And if an opportunity is misused, it can hurt more than help. That’s why it’s important to stay connected to your values, know your intentions, and be clear about what you’re working towards.
Because you design your own life.
No one else.
And when preparation meets the right opportunity — magic happens.
I Am Where I Am Because of the Chances I Took
I feel so grateful for the life I have today.
Not because everything was handed to me, but because opportunities came, and I chose to say yes. Even when I wasn’t sure. Even when I was scared. Even when it felt too big.
Some of those chances changed my entire life.
They connected me with people who believed in me, opened doors I never thought I’d walk through, and made dreams I didn’t dare speak out loud come true.
And on quiet days, when I reflect, I feel nothing but gratitude for those moments — and the people who stood by me along the way.
Opportunities Come in Many Forms
People often think opportunities mean job promotions or once-in-a-lifetime events.
But in reality, opportunities show up in ordinary, everyday moments too.
A conversation.
A class you almost didn’t attend.
A trip you thought you couldn’t afford.
A chance to meet someone new.
Sometimes the smallest, most unexpected moments create the biggest ripple effects in your life.
But if you’re too rigid, too fearful, or too consumed with your own comfort zone — don’t blame others when life stays exactly the same. Your life moves when you move.
A Question for You
Instead of asking, “Have you ever missed an opportunity?”
I’d rather ask you this:
“What opportunity did you take that you’re grateful for, for life?”
Because those are the stories worth remembering.
The moments you said yes.
The chances you grabbed with both hands.
The leaps you took, not knowing if you’d land safely — and did it anyway.
Those are the moments that shape us.
If an opportunity comes your way, and your heart knows your intention is pure, and you have the courage to try — why not?
I know both the ache of regret and the exhilaration of saying “I did it. I took the chance.”
And if you’ve ever felt that too, you’ll understand why I keep reminding myself and those around me: stay open, stay wise, stay brave.
Because opportunity knocks only once.
And you never know if you’ll get another.

I am forever grateful that I said yes to joining a a class at QC — a class I was never supposed to be in. The plan was to borrow the CPT notes from the lovely teacher whose class I admired so much. But that small decision turned into one of the grateful opportunities I have taken, not only I get the notes, this yes has changed my life that I deeply love. ❤️
Oh my! That was unexpected!I am so glad and thankful that it happened! <3
